DESCRIPTION
The Code of Ethics: REALTORS® Setting a Higher Standard course will be held IN PERSON.
NAR’s Code of Ethics, adopted in 1913, was one of the first codifications of ethical duties adopted by any business group. The Code ensures that consumers are served by requiring REALTORS® to cooperate with each other in furthering clients’ best interests. Dive in deeper into the Code. In this class you will learn how to keep you and your business ethical!
Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:
- Identifty at least two aspirational concepts in the Preamble to the Code of Ethics, describe the concept of general business ethics and identify how the Code of Ethics compares and contrasts with the concept of general business ethics.
- Describe the concepts of the following Articles of the Code of Ethics: Articles 1, 2, 3, 11, and 16.
- Given interactive learning methods such as case studies, quizzes, group discussion of fact senarios, identify possible voilation of the Code of Ethics, specifically related to the Articles selected in Objective #2.
- Briefly describe the professional standards enforcement process of the board of association.
Students who complete this course will have met their mandatory ethics requirement, for the current cycle*.
Course material will be emailed prior to class.
*This course fulfills the REALTOR® Code of Ethics Training Requirement mandated by National Association of REALTORS®, to be completed once every three years. The current cycle runs January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2024.
