Facebook Live: Net Neutrality & Real Estate
DESCRIPTION
Thursday, Dec. 7 @ 2 pm | National Association of REALTORS® is hosting a Facebook Live to discuss Net Neutrality and it's impact on real estate.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is expected to strike down net neutrality, the system of rules that tries to create an even playing field on the internet for websites and users. NAR supports net neutrality and opposes the FCC plan to end it in mid-December. NAR analyst Melanie Wyne and David Charron, head of large multiple listing service MRIS, explain and answer questions on how net neutrality works and what the real estate industry can expect to happen should it be terminated. Impacts are expected to be felt by MLSes, listing sites, associations, brokerages, sales associates, and consumers as internet service providers (ISPs) create fast and slow lanes on the Internet and enter into agreements with some content providers
