Our Diversity Inclusion Committee is charged with promoting equal opportunity and cultural diversity within the real estate industry and encouraging an Association culture that embraces and celebrates our differences. This webinar is the first in a new series* called Let's Talk! Diversity & Inclusion.
In "A Conversation with a Reformed Racist & Former Cop" we'll hear from:
Sabrina Hagood, 2020 Chair, Diversity Inclusion Committee: Longtime real estate investor and former cop, Hagood became a REALTOR® in 2017. As a black woman, her personal and professional experiences blend for a unique perspective on racism.
Franklin McCallie, Founder of Chattanooga Connect: A Chattanooga native, McCallie founded Chattanooga Connect in 2013 to promote racial equality in the community. The McCallie name is well-known in Chattanooga, as McCallie's grandfather and great-uncle founded McCallie School in 1905, and two of his great-aunts founded Girls Preparatory School in 1906. Admittedly, McCallie grew up in racial ignorance, and it wasn't until college that his eyes were opened to inequality. McCallie is a former educator, and the first white administrator at Chattanooga's Howard High School when it was an all-black school.
Participants will not be on audio/video but will have the ability to ask questions during the presentation, as time allows.
