Owners & Managing Brokers are invited to lunch!

Charlie Lee, Senior Counsel & Director of Legal Affairs at the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), will provide an overview and update on the Antitrust Lawsuit (Department of Justice vs. NAR) and its impact on brokerages, including:

• Public display (i.e., IDX feeds) of the compensation offered to buyers’ agents.
• Amendments to local MLS Rules to re-affirm that MLSs and brokerages must provide consumers all properties that fit their criteria regardless of compensation offered or the name of the listing brokerage.
• Prohibition on representations that brokerage services are free or available at no cost to their clients, unless the participant or subscriber will receive no financial compensation from any source for those service.
• Requirements that with the seller’s prior approval, a licensed real estate agent will have access to the lockboxes of properties listed on an MLS even if the agent does not subscribe to the MLS.
