It has been reported to our MLS Staff that some of our members are receiving vulgar text messages from unknown persons. The most recent incident occurred on New Year's Eve. Due to their vulgarity, we will not include a sample here. Please know that they are sexual in content and you are urged not to respond to them. Doing so only encourages the sender to keep contacting you. If you so choose, you may report them to the police, and you are encouraged to do so especially if you feel threatened by the messages. Unfortunately, this type of unsolicited text is not uncommon in our industry due to cellphone numbers being easily accessible.
