Greater Chattanooga Realtors®, in partnership with Real Estate Partners, donated $4,000 to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank for COVID-19 relief efforts.
Tennessee REALTORS® allocated $2,000 to Greater Chattanooga Realtors® to use as COVID relief in the community. Real Estate Partners matched the grant with an additional $2,000 for a total of $4,000 to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank through whom the food distribution event was coordinated.
Greater Chattanooga REALTORS® identified East Lake as an area greatly impacted by COVID-19 and could benefit greatly from this effort. On September 24, volunteers from Greater Chattanooga Realtors helped pack and distribute food with other participants.
“Our hope is that our small donation goes a long way in filling a need in our community. It’s amazing to me that one dollar provides four meals,” Said Brandi Pearl Thompson, 2020 President of Greater Chattanooga Realtors®. “We’re in this together. That’s Who We R,” said Thompson.
“We are so grateful to Greater Chattanooga Realtors and Real Estate Partners,” said Shelley Armstrong, Director of Events and Major Gifts for the Chattanooga Area Food Bank
“After COVID, we had a 54% increase in need. We know the need is not over, and we’re expecting the need to rise for the next 12-18 months. One dollar helps provide 4 meals. Because of this donation, there will be 16,000 meals provided to those in need,” said Armstrong.
“When people give to the food bank, they’re giving to their neighbors. Real Estate Partners is proud to help this organization do their incredible work,” said Ryan May, Affiliate Broker at Real Estate Partners.
