Learning Can be Fun!
Our own Steve Champion will facilitate a "train the trainer" workshop on December 4-5 called The Learning Centered Instructor. This intensive workshop is for both aspiring and experienced instructors. Improve your skill-set and learn ways to make the learning process fun. Those who complete this two-day workshop will be considered for future teaching/training opportunities at the Association. Click here for more information.
We Need Your Help to Keep Flood Insurance Affordable
NAR is asking Congress to defer flood insurance rate increases for approximately 5.6 million property owners in more than 20,000 communities across the country. Deferring rate increases will allow FEMA to determine more accurately how these rates will impact property owners and give affected property owners more time to respond to higher rates. If fewer homeowners can afford flood insurance, in the event of future floods, taxpayers will spend more on federal disaster relief to owners of uninsured properties. Without flood insurance, homeowners located in flood zones could default on their mortgages. Tell Congress that you support the Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act.
