Reports of Vandalism, Theft & Flooding at Vacant Listings

At least two incidents have been reported to our MLS Staff regarding vacant listings that have been broken into and vandalized. In both incidents, the stove and refrigerator were stolen. With the water lines still connected to the refrigerator, the property incurred flooding and water damage. We suggest discussing with your seller their expectations for the home being checked on periodically. Also, you may consider discussing with the seller their option to disconnect the water lines to prevent additional damage should a similar incident occur at their property.
