Bias Override: Overcoming Barriers to Fair Housing course will be held IN PERSON. 

The National Association of REALTORS® has launched "Bias Override," an extension of their 2020 implicit-bias training video. This program equips real estate professionals with strategies to counter stereotypical thinking, ensuring fair service to all clients. Participants assess their perceptions of diverse groups, uncover unconscious biases, and develop skills for engaging effectively with all clientele. "Bias Override" promotes equitable practices, helping realtors navigate fair housing challenges more adeptly.

Course material will be emailed prior to class. 

This course satisfies the all-REALTOR® fair housing/anti-bias training requirement.

Join NAR's 2024 Vice President of Advocacy, Nate Johnson, as he explores Federal Fair Housing Laws, including protected classes, recent issues, and the distinction between explicit and implicit bias. Dive into identity anxiety, stereotype threat, in-group / out-group dynamics, and effective use of privilege. Learn strategies to embrace diversity in real estate and foster inclusive, thriving communities where we live and work.

The DO's and DON'T's of Serving Clients with Special Needs course will be held IN PERSON.

An estimated 1.3 billion people – 16% of the global population – experience a significant disability today. Now more than ever it is important real estate professionals learn a proper standard of practice and the ‘dos’ and ‘don’ts’ of serving clients with a disability. In this session, you will hear inspiring stories about everyday actions transforming lives through compassion, responsibility and service. Most importantly, your understanding of diversity will expand to include issues of accessibility, inclusion, compassion, and equity for all individuals.
